Mediterráneo Golf – A jewel between mountains and a valley
It is a gem nestled in a wide valley amongst the hills, 6 km from the Mediterranean Sea; its subtle challenges make it more demanding than it appears at first glance, though this does not deter intermediate players.
The fairway and green bunkers are cleverly positioned and clearly visible, indicating the tactics to be adopted. With woodland consisting mainly of pines, carob trees and olive trees, a few isolated trees force players to hit the ball with spin, and there are water hazards – lakes and canals – in the line of play on seven holes, completing a wide array of varied challenges. The greens, which are prepared to roll at US PGA Tour speeds – remember that this is Sergio García’s home course – add a high-quality element to the game, as they require just as much finesse to read as they do to play. Cleverly designed and straightforward, it is a course for everyone and comes highly recommended both for its harmony and its meticulous maintenance: perfect for enjoying a wonderful day out.
Many competitions have been held at our facilities, but we would particularly highlight the following:
Spanish Professional Championship, Spanish Junior Championship, Spanish Senior Championship, host venue for the PGA Qualifying School, Spanish Senior Open, Spanish Ladies’ Open, 4 Tours at Castellón Airport, the successful and internationally renowned Castelló Masters, as well as all possible regional championships.
It features: a practice area, a putting green, a driving range, an approach area and a golf shop.
