Villamartín Golf – A gem on the European circuit

Since 1972, Villamartin Golf has been a leading name amongst the golf courses of the Valencian Community. With landscaping dating back more than 40 years, beautiful views of the Mediterranean and generous greens, it hosted a European Tour event in 1994.

Severiano Ballesteros, José María Olazábal, Ian Woosnam, Sam Torrance and many other figures from the world of international golf have played on and graced this magnificent golf course with their presence. Golf Villamartín was designed by John Puttman, who had previously worked on La Manga Club in the late 1960s.

The greens at Villamartin are internationally renowned, featuring world-famous holes such as the 17th, a par-3 that requires players to cross a lush, tree-lined avenue to reach a huge, generous two-tiered green. Golf Villamartin boasts a large community of players from across Europe who have chosen this beautiful golf course as their home, with golf and this course forming an integral part of their lifestyle.

Villamartin is undoubtedly one of the best courses in the Valencian Community, as well as being one of the region’s oldest golf clubs.
